This is an all new 17A style front sight. These sights use the readily available Lyman 17A inserts (10 inserts included) and have the spirit level completely protected inside the globe. This sight has a .500" height as measured from the bottom of the dovetail to the center of the aperture.

    Like the other Shaver products I've tried, very good quality and works.

    First time I've tried a spirit level front sight. Only took a few minutes to get used to it. To me it appears as a black bar across the bottom of the sight with a clear space, not a 'bubble' as you might expect. You quickly learn to keep track of it down there without it interfering with focus on the sight itself.

    This really demonstrated just how easy it is to be just slightly off level and not realize it. As I have the chance to shoot at longer ranges I think this is really going to help keep things consistent.

    This is a REALLY nice front globe sight package. Comes complete with 10 inserts, a built-in spirit level, and is very well made. A quality product at a great price that you'll be proud to own. Great service from Lee Shaver, and I had it less than 2 days after ordering.
